$350 says yes, I do/ Money talks, bullshit walks/ Sometimes you just have to fire them.

My goodness, I’m so mad.

And I am also glad this happened.

Giving discounts to friends can backfire in an ugly way, but at least it teaches you: Do not work for free/ give deep discounts.

As an independent, I get to write the rules of my studio. It’s not a “If you don’t like it, leave” set of rules; it’s not a “Only eat the orange M&Ms”. It’s a non-bullshit one. A common-sensical one (My common sense, anyway) You know what it is like? It’s a mutual respect, polite, honest, optimistic set of rules.

10 professionals I have asked about this have agreed with me: Sometimes you just don’t need the bullshit and have to fire your client. If we can’t get along, let’s not work.

Having a hellish/negative/I-can’t-stand-this session is not good for anyone, and the result will be more headaches and grief and honestly not good music

If you are saving 350 bucks, Could you forget about your ego for half an hour?  I won’t take advantage of you. I’m doing you a favor.
